Star Wars: Episode I

The Phantom Menace (3D)

Star Wars Episode I happened to be the first film I worked on in my career. When I first found out that I was part of the stereo conversion team for a Star Wars film I couldn’t believe it.

There was a lot of care that went into the conversion process. One of the major rules was to not modify the film beyond shifting perspective. Prime Focus took this seriously and as a result the “left eye” of almost every shot was the original 2D version and the “right eye” was our dimensionalized version.
